Julie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian specialising in the management of Obesity. She completed her Bachelor of Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Julie has extensive experience and proficiency with the nutrition management of obesity having worked alongside leading surgeons in private practices in both New Zealand and England, and in large National Health Specialty Bariatric centres in London.
Julie is a member of the Dietetic Association of Australia (DAA) and the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OOSSANZ). She has also held membership with the British Health Professions Council, British Dietetic Association and New Zealand Dietetic Association Julie assesses and educates a wide variety of patients about the best nutrition plan for their health.
Experience working in weight management has given Julie an appreciation of the diverse nature of factors that contribute to obesity. She is passionate about delivering the highest level of care by providing practical, individualised, evidence based advice and is dedicated to her role in supporting the medical team in achieving the best outcomes for her clients.
Julie can guide you throughout your pre surgery diet, in the initial phase after surgery transitioning back on to solid foods and support you with long term weight loss and ultimately weight maintenance.
