Your surgery pathway.

With the Melbourne Weight Loss Surgery team.

Your complete care package

Surgery is a huge life change and a decision that isn’t made lightly. So many have their operation only to feel thrown into the deep end with no lifeline.

To be truly successful on your surgery journey, you want a team that's with you for more than just signing the paperwork.

Our surgery follow-up inclusions are second to none. You’ll have access to everyone you could need on your journey under one roof, collaborating to get you the best results.

  • Discuss your surgery options and ask your burning questions in your first surgical consult.

  • Meet with your nurse and dietitian who will prepare you for your surgery diet and practical aspects of the operation (like how to take care of yourself during recovery).

Have any required tests done (like blood tests or scopes).

  • Once everything has been reviewed by your surgeon, we’ll get your okay to go ahead with surgery. You’ll be in good hands for a relatively quick hospital stay.

  • We’ll check in with you regularly to make sure you recover well and ease into a new way of eating. You’ll have reviews with your nurse and/or surgeon and dietitian included.

  • Gain access to our other support networks such as psychology and exercise physiology services, support groups, events and online resources.

Included in your surgery package:

FREE meet and greet session with our exercise physiologist and counsellor

*Surgical/nursing follow-up to use within your first 2 years post-surgery. Dietitian follow-up to be used within your first 12 months post-surgery. Different inclusions apply for Allurion Balloon procedures.
